I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Someone's in the Pumpkin Patch

We decided to take a little trip to the pumpkin patch!  It was Jonah's first time and what fun we had.  There a few good laughs with trying get some good pictures, and we thankfully got him in  good mood smiling in most of them!  I will have to say he was the cutest baby in the pumpkin patch.  Everyday is so much fun and we are loving or little man to pieces.   What a blessing he is to us!

After the pumpkin patch we decided to take a drive through some of the small towns in North Carolina.  We came to a fun antique show and there was this cool barn on the property.

Cutest baby in the pumpkin patch!

What English sounds like to foreigners!

So I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was great.  This is a little clip of what English sounds likes to foreigners.  So funny to see what they hear when we speak!!  Just a little bit of fun for the day!

FaMiLy FuN

Jonah got to meet Uncle Scott and Aunt Amy for the first time!  So glad we had that time together.

Uncle Scott and Aunt Amy with Jonah!

Yay for Aunts!  Aunt Jenny was the best help and loved on Jonah while home visiting.  Thanks for coming!

Cousin Oreyna.  Jonah and Oreyna are about 2 months apart.  Fun times meeting family.

Oreyna and Jonah!  Cousinly love!

Two sweet babies

Aunt Marla with Oreyna.  Both "sleeping"

Oren is one of my best guys cousins.  We have been close for a long time so it is fun having babies together.  We had to get a picture with great- uncle Tom.

The two baldies!

So snuggly and warm in Montana!

The Jardee Ranch

The sky was so pretty one night Jenny and I got out and took some fun pictures.

Aunt Jenny rocking me to sleep!

One of the first big smiles caught on camera.  Jonah Gabriel 2 months old!!

It was so good to go home for a week.  I enjoyed all the help and loved being the kid again.  Mom made great meals, we went on afternoon walks on the ranch, met up with old friends, and drank lots of coffee.  It was a special time and I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who came out to meet Jonah.  Jonah was showered with so many great gifts and met lots of new people!  We are all settled back in and enjoying the cool North Carolina fall!

Jonah Bear!!

Walking into his nursery

The beautiful curtains and ties my mom made!

Diaper stacker also made by mom.

Jonah's special crib that Mimi and Papa bought him. Thanks so much I love it!

And the beautiful changing table is from Great-grandma and Great-grandpa Soriente. Thank you I love it so much!!!!!

My friend Lisa made these pom poms for a  baby shower she threw for us and I had great plans to use them in the nursery.

My mother the seamstress made these pillows.

For Jonah's name I used the left over fabric to pull it all together and glued it onto wood letters.

I got this great decal for the wall from Trendypeas.com.  The pictures on the wall above the changing table are from there as well.

Some of the vibrant colors of fabric I picked out for his bedding.

And the quilt my mom made. I think we need to go into business and sell this stuff on esty!

The bumper pad my mom also made!

I also used leftover fabric to cover his lamp.
I am finally getting around to posting a new blog.  Our family has been world travelers for the past three weeks.  We spent two wonderful weeks with family in Montana and then headed off to Chicago for five days for the ASA conference where Tim presented a poster for UNC.  I am going to post pictures of Jonah's nursery since the little guy is now 9 weeks old and I am finally getting around to doing it!  I will then get some new pictures up of him since he has changed so much!
