I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Myrtle Beach

Laura, the kiddos, Jonah, and I took a trip to the beach last week.  Tim was on night float so he was going into work at 6pm and coming around 7am to sleep all day, so it worked out great to get away for the weeks.  Some good friends, the Bondras, have a beach house in Myrtle Beach, SC so we packed up the van and headed out.  It was a long 4 hour drive but we made it and quickly dove into vacation mode!!  Here are some pictures from the trip.

Bath time with cousins!

Here the boys and I waiting to go into the wind room.  It was 84mph winds so you could feel what it is like to be in a tornado!  It was fun.

For some reason Jonah loved to climb on this chair.  It kept him busy for hours.

Fireflies and BBQ's

The Mosley's had a BBQ and bonfire last weekend and the weather was beautiful.  It was in the 70's so not too hot not too cold, just right.  We ate hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, and then made smores.  I was playing around with my camera getting use to using the manual mode.  Here are a few shots of fun filled night.

The bonfire all fired up and ready to roast some marshmallows!

See the string of warm, sweet, gooey goodness of a perfectly roasted marshmallow!

The remnants of a warm scrumptious smore!

My sweet Amelia Catherine

And my ever so sweet Jonah.

Um I think Amelia is smitten over this little guy!

Outer Banks Part III

Alright everyone this is that last of our trip.  If I didn't like taking pictures so much I would not have to blog about our trips three different time, but hey I love pictures and capturing the moments so here it is.  We have had a pretty good week.  Tim is on night float which means his schedule is totally switched around.  He goes in around 6:15pm, works all night (did 6 C-sections last night!!), and then comes home around 7:30am to seep all day.  This is definitely not ideal for family time, but oh well what do you do??  We have a baby shower, birthday party, and lots of lawn work to do this weekend and then Laura and the crew and Jonah and I are off the Myrtle Beach.  And I can guarantee you there will lots of pictures to post from that trip!!

There was a great park in downtown Duck with the most beautiful hydrangeas.  I had to take some pictures, they just happen to be one of my favorite flowers!

Waiting for some ice cream.  Yep he likes dessert just like his mommy!!

And the last of our light houses to see.  Currituck Light house in Corolla, NC.

And the last day in the pool.  The big pool was pretty chilly so we didn't stay in there long because I think it was a bit cold for Jonah.  The baby pool however he liked which was nice and warm.

And thats a wrap, till next time...

Outer Banks Part II

Here is part II of our outer banks trip Memorial Day Weekend.  Things are starting to get busy around here.  With summer pretty much in full swing we are on the go.  Anything from summer BBQ's, to trips to the beach, to concerts on the lawn summer is here!!!

Our first night out eating delicious shrimp and having an ice cold beer.  Oh how I love the beach, warm weather and Jonah!

My two favorite guys!!

The next day we headed  down to Cape Hatteras.  It was such a pretty drive and we timed it just right so that Jonah took him morning nap and slept the whole way.  Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were down there, but we still got some good shots and have a fun time.
Trying to get Jonah to look at the camera was impossible!  We took a ton of pictures trying to capture at least one!  We ended up with a couple good ones!

Then on our way back we were able to stop at Bodie Light house.  You can kind of see at the bottom of the light house there was construction going on.  It was still fun to be able to get to see so many different light houses on our trip.

And once we got back we hit the pool.  Jonah loved the water.  I am so happy he was not afraid of the water.  He splashed around and had a great time.

And to finish the night off we went to the best ice cream joint in town.  This was Jonah's first time trying ice cream and really liking it.  It was so cute to see him eat it and ask for more!

And then it was sleepy time.  We got this frisbee with the meal we ordered for him from the restaurant we ate at that night.  He would not let that thing out of his sight.  He hung on to it all night and feel asleep with it in his hands!!
