We continue

And the pictures continue.  I am waiting for something exciting, like um Thanksgiving, to come up with some more recent pictures!  So until then lets dream of summer and warmer weather...

 We were able to take a family trip to Blowing Rock this fall to visit Tweetsie Railroad and Tim was able to do his first bike race in North Carolina.  I love blowing rock and what a neat little quaint town it is!

 Pretty exhausted from a fun filled weekend trip.  He slept the whole way home!

Our favorite place to be, the park.  He is so fun to take to the park now because you can just let him go and he goes up and down the slide and stairs all by himself.  Oh and everything these days is "I DO."  Sometimes its cute and sometimes he just can't do!!

Jonah learned that you can reverse the camera on my phone so we took some self pictures.  He was enjoying this very much!

 A day with his cousins.  When mom and dad were here this fall we went over to Kurt and Laura's and had some great games of Mother May I.  Her kids are at a great age for this game and had so much fun.  I took about 10 pictures and its so funny because in each picture there is a progression of Jonah starting at the back and then pretty soon is somehow in the front with Joshua.  He had fun playing the game his way!

We finally made it to downtown Durham to eat some ice cream and the Ice Cream Parlor.  It was a neat place with some very delicious options.  We went to Mark, Julie, and Lillia and had a great time out together.  We are so thankful for dear friends like them, that's another things I will miss about North Carolina. Saying goodbye to precious freindships:(

 More trains.  Jonah is at the perfect age for trains so we took him to the Hope Valley Train yard.  It was a great family outing.  And Jonah loved every minute of it!

Tweetsie Railroad

Our little family took a trip to Blowing Rock the middle of September for a little family get away and for Tim to do a bike ride.  We have been wanting to take Jonah to Tweetsie Railroad and were excited we finally found the time to go.  Plus Tim has had some time for training and was super excited to be able to do his first bike race in North Carolina!  We had all day on Saturday together and then Tim did his ride Sunday morning.  Tweetise was so much fun and Jonah was in love with the steam engine!  It was a little chilly that whole weekend and we didn't come prepared.  Thankfully I had thrown in a jacket at the last minute for Jonah, but Tim and I did not pack well.  We were both chilled until the sun came out and warmed things up a bit.  Always remember when going to the mountains to pack for all weather types!

After we road the train we went up the mountain to the petting zoo.  Jonah was loving the goats and was pretty excited he got to feed them and pet them.

We walked to the top with the stroller so I brought the stroller back down while Tim road the gondola down with Jonah.

This is Jonah getting his cowboy on!  He is preparing for our move back to Montana!

The Summer Collection

Well after looking through my pictures I believe I am finally caught up!  I'm going to drop some iphone pictures because sometimes those are the only pictures you can capture!  I am proud to say that I am now the owner of an iphone.  Yep 30 years old and I finally got one, and it has changed my life.  I don't know what I did without it.  I'm addicted and hoping the newness wears off and I might not be so addicted later on, we will see.  But between Tim and I both taking pictures with our phones we have a bunch of pictures to share!!

Sorry this is  sideways I don't know how to fix that on here.  But when we were in Missoula and Tim was interviewing, we at our hotel restaurant and they were serving "Ekalaka Eggplant."  I was so excited because that is my hometown, on a menu,  and I had to get a picture!!!!

 The hill with the M.  I can't remember what they call it now but that hill is directly about the University.  Missoula is such a beautiful town and we really enjoyed touring the area.

Yogurt in the car because Jonah does not do so well eating in road trips.  He liked the yogurt in his carseat though!

We ate at the Big Dipper Ice Cream shop. This place was great.  Everyone we had meet kept telling us about the Big Dipper and we had to try their ice cream before we left.  It is fun because you order outside and can only sit outside.  The line was about 15 people long when we were there.  People say that is sometimes wraps around the block on hot summer days!

 Jonah's big boy bed at the cabin.  This little bed is just the cutest.  Jonah in bed lasted about 2 min.  But next year hopefully he will be sleeping there!!

And another amazing place for ice cream is the Dew Drop Inn.  This little ice cream shop is on the way to the cabin.  It has the best ice cream and in the summer you always have to order the Huckleberry, it is the best!!

 The plane ride home.  Jonah did pretty well considering all the traveling we had done for four weeks and sleeping in a different place like 14 times!!

 Labor Day weekend we went to John and Sonneri's house in Charlotte.  They have a pool with a great kids area.  Jonah loved the water spouts and had a blast!

And the Durham Bulls baseball game.  This was such a fun family night.  We are taking in call we can before we leave the great state of North Carolina!!  Go Tar Heels!!!
