I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Family Visit

My grandmother from Texas has been wanting to get out for a visit so she talked to mom to figure out some dates to come out.  It just so happened that my friends Katie and Julie offered to throw me a little baby shower for Baby #2 so I thought how fun it would be to have my mom, grandmother, Laura, and my sister from Montana (who decided to come visit as well) at my shower.  We got the dates all figured out and decided March 1st would be a great time to have it.  I was also hoping for some really nice weather for my mom and sister since they both live in Montana! Well plans we make are not always the way things are going to happen.  The day my family was suppose to get into town my sister Laura called me with some very sad news that her Father-In-Law had passed away and she and her husband were driving to be with the family.  My grandmother and mom were suppose to stay with me and my sister Jenny and her two boys, both under the age of 2, would stay with my sister.  And we would just make plans throughout the week to meet up and hangout.  Well it ended up they all ended up staying at Laura's house because it was easier to all be in one place, and someone needed to watch my sisters kids.  So I just drove back and forth everyday to be with them. A very long story short, my grandmother started feeling pretty sick on Thursday and by Saturday my mom took her to Urgent Care and they diagnosed her with pneumonia.  My shower happened to be on Saturday, but mom didn't feel like she could leave me grandmother so she stayed home with her and my sister Jenny was able to come with the neighbor to my shower.  It was just a crazy week taking care of 8 kids, my sick grandmother, and driving everyone around, getting groceries, cooking, entertaining.  It was not exactly how I would have guessed the week to go, but we managed and did end up having a great time together.  I have a few pictures of the one nice day my family got to enjoy.  The weather here has been crazy and we have been waiting a very long time for spring!  I think spring is here finally as this week is going to be in the eighties a couple of days!

We went to the tennis courts to let the kids run around get some energy out.  Mom got in a little game with Caleb and we all took turns hitting balls and running around having fun!

 My sweet Amelia girl!
Always a smiling!

Sweet Blake and Grant.

I'm so happy I was able to capture this sweet moment.  We obviously were missing a lot of the little ones, but this is still pretty sweet!

And we can't forget about this sweet little guy.  I had Tim take a quick picture so show my progress in the last weeks.  Can't wait to meet him!

Maternity Photo Shoot

Oh my where have I been?  Well lets just say it's been a crazy two months with lots and lots of things going on.  Some not so good, but for the most part exciting and fun things.  February was a month of visits from family, with lots of sickness and stress, and Tim was on the worse rotation yet, but we managed to get through it all.  And March was a month of busy work again, house on the market and sold in 14 days, and cold rainy weather.  But things are looking up and we have so much going on and so much to look forward to.  Our wonderful family photographer, Casey Rose, http://www.caseyrosephotography.com/, needed a pregnant model and so she asked me if I would be willing to do it. At first I wasn't really excited because one, I gain a lot of weight when I'm pregnant, and two I didn't do it with the first two pregnancies so I thought it would be weird.  But this time around I have worked out consistently, watched what I ate, and lo and behold I have not gained much weight, interesting how that works!!:) So I said yes, and I am so glad I did.  I couldn't be happier with how this pictures turned out and couldn't feel any better and energetic than I do with this pregnancy.  So here are some pictures we took the end of February.

So here are few of my favorites.  She took quit and few but I will spare you all of them.  She wanted to go with a white or cream lacy dress with a very natural look. I wasn't super excited about white or lace but knew that she had something in mind and it always look good so I went with it.  And I am so glad I trusted her instinct.  I think they turned out amazing and love each one!

It was really weird posing for this picture, but so fun seeing it now!

And was little afraid of the big fluffy hat, but once again, it turned out pretty good!

And then this picture I think makes me belly look really small.  It's interesting how different outfits and really change the look!

Well thats a few of them.  I can't believe we will be meeting this sweet thing in 5 weeks!  Pretty darn excited:)

It's a snow day!!!

Well it really did snow in North Carolina.  I feel like we have been having warnings and predictions all winter and nothing ever came of them.  It finally came and started snowing around 7 last night and we woke up to a ground covered in snow.  It was so fun to see Jonah look outside and get excited about the snow.  We had breakfast, played a little bit inside, and then got all bundled up to go outside. Jonah loved it.  He made tracks all over the front yard, back yard, and then we headed off deep into the woods to find deer and bear!  He would have stayed out longer but mommy was a baby and needed to come in and warm her hands up.  Daddy is hopefully on his way home soon and we will head out again as soon as Jonah wakes up from his nap!

Checking out his tracks in the the snow!

 Hey there cute little guy!

Sweet moments with my guy!

Our last Christmas in North Carolina

We were able to to spend our last Christmas in North Carolina with Kurt, Laura, and family.  We have spent three of of our five Christmas' here with the Mosleys', other two we went home and went to Georgia to see Tim's side of the family.  So we carried on the Jardee family tradition and the Mosleys' came over to exchange gifts and make homemade pizza!  My friend Julie came over with her two little ones because her husband was on call at the hospital and her family lives out of town.   Thankfully Tim had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off so there was not rushing, waiting, or early mornings.  It was so special to have him around since this was the first Christmas the Jonah really understood what was going on.  We had two late nights of good food and fun games.  It was so nice to spend both days with family and enjoy our last North Carolina Christmas together.  I did get some quick pictures Christmas Eve but we didn't get any on Christmas Day.  I am so disappointed because it was such a joy to see Jonah really enjoy Christmas, that is why we didn't get any good pictures, we were enjoying him open presents and take it all in.  Oh well I will definitely be better next year!!

Some of my favorite little guys reading together upstairs!!

 Making pizza dough with Dad!

December Sip and See

I threw a "Sip and See" for my friend Julie the middle of December.  If you aren't from the south then I will explain what a "Sip and See" is.  It is where you have drinks of any sort, sip on them, and see and cuddle on the new baby.  I guess its a thing in south and when my friend told me about it I thought it was a great idea for a little shower for baby number two for my friend Julie.  I hunted around on Pinterest and found some great ideas for a hot chocolate bar.  I started putting things together and was excited with how things turned out.  I was able to do a lot with the food table and didn't have to do many other decorations since my tree and house decorations were up for the holidays.  Julie and sweet Abigail were showered with love and gifts and we all had a wonderful morning together!  I really liked doing the sip and see and will be throwing another shower for my friend Katie in April.  It's baby land on this side of the Mississippi and I think more and more just keep on coming!  It's the time of life we are in right now and I  am loving getting to experience life and babies with all our dear friends here!

My hot chocolate bar!  I made way too much food like I always do so there was lots to share after the party!  I can't help it, I always go overboard!

My sweet nieces.  They were excited to have a girls day out and come to the baby shower!

 Sweet Abigail Ella Joseph!
