I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Yogurt, Smiles, and Dad

Tim was post-call on Wednesday so we just stayed inside for the most part and played.  Jonah is always  excited when Dad is home because it changes things up a little bit.  He ate a great lunch and gobbled up his Greek yogurt with a little beard I had to capture.  Then he played some games with Dad.  It is always so nice to have Tim home even though he is a bit groggy from being up all night and then napping.  It's just so nice to have hime around!  We are not bunkering down for the cold weather that is suppose to hit us tonight.  Jonah and I managed to get outside for a little bit today.  I was somewhat warm but so so windy.  He still had fun and enjoys all the time he can get outside!  I will post those pictures as soon as I get them loaded!

My little boy loves Greek yogurt which I am so happy that he does.  Since he is not a big milk drinker I am so happy he will eat yogurt!

32.5 weeks and counting

Well I thought I should at least put up a couple of pictures of the baby bump.  I need to have some reminder of this little peanut in my belly and see the progress he/she is making.  I have been feeling really good this pregnancy.  Other than my sweet Jonah Bear not sleeping through the night due to the croup I am mainly tired.  I am praying we are through this within a couple of days.  This pregnancy as I posted before has been so different from Jonah's, which is why my hubby is convinced it's a girl!  I really don't know, I don't have a feeling either way.  But the ultrasounds are going well and baby is still growing at a consistent rate.  The stomach is still a little small but the doctors have all been so reassuring.  So here is to 32.5 weeks!!

Hello Handsome.  Tim was taking the pictures and then I snapped one of him! Too cute

Music Making and Adorable Arts

We started up our winter music and arts class.  It feels good to be back into a routine and have a few things to do every morning.  I am working on getting Jonah down to just an afternoon nap which has gone pretty well this week.  It is good for us to get out in the mornings and do things so he is kept busy and doesn't get sleepy at home!  We have stayed pretty busy which has been nice because the weather has been really cold.  It is 25 degrees right now and snowing.  It's so pretty and nice to be all warm snug inside.  Here are a few pictures of Jonah doing his crafts and enjoying the warm weather from last week!!

This how we start the day out.  Jonah has been into his baseball cap Mimi got him last year and wants to wear it when we go out.  He also LOVES trucks and carries this green monster truck with him everywhere!!  I love that he is all boy!

Our day at arts and music class.  Jonah I think just touched the lion was done and moving onto the next thing and I did the rest.  He is definitely not into arts.  But he sure does look forward to all the activity centers set up all around and happily toddles off to find something new to do!

We tried a little painting and all Jonah wanted to do was eat the paint.  Thankfully the paint was homemade edible paint so I was not too worried.

It was a beautiful day so we played outside for just a little bit.  Jonah still loves to be outside so I try and take advantage of all the nice days we can get!

All better!

I think I can finally say that life is back to normal.  The blues are subsiding and Jonah is eating like a champ. Tim still has somewhat of a crazy schedule but we can at least get out of the house to help pass the time before Dad gets home.  Today Tim stayed home with Jonah (he was post-call) so I could go to my morning bible study, OB appt, and ultrasound, oh and take a very much needed nap!!  The baby is growing at a consistent rate, still small, but the doctor was so reassuring that all things are normal.  Praise God!  I think I can feel the swing back in my step.  I think that is how you say that!:)

A beautiful day at the park.  The weather was nice for a few days and we were able to get outside and play!

Making progress by getting rid of all bottles except one at night!!  And Jonah was drinking it out of a sippy cup.  That is why we have been giving him the bottle.  We must be done with all bottles before baby comes!

Pretty busy with arts and crafts at our music and arts day.  This is the first time he was really interested in the arts part of it!

Mom's Little Helper

Things have been a little boring around here lately.  With Jonah being sick we have stayed close to home so that he can get better and not come down with anything else!  I have tried to be creative with things to do in the house.  Lately he has been into his trucks.  While I was unloading the dishwasher Jonah decided he would help me.  He is a good little helper when it comes to the dishwasher!  Here are a few pictures of his tracks.  We are all better now and looking forward to getting back into bible study, play dates, music class, cousin days, and more!

A picture from Christmas that snuck into this bunch!!
That is a mischievous little smile!!

17 months!!

I can't believe Jonah was 17 months on the 8th.  Wow how the time has flown by.  I didn't actually get to take pictures of him on the 8th because we were dealing with the stomach bug, but here are a few pictures I took just a week or so ago.  It has been a long two weeks in this household.  Jonah has had croup, a cold, an ear infection, and the stomach bug.  Ahhh I have about gone crazy, but I am praying this is the last of it and we are over all of it.  And did I mention I hate winter?  Well I do especially with little ones who catch everything.  I am ready for spring.

Jonah likes to sit up at the counter like a big boy.  So one day he was eating an apple and having a blast with a cup and a little water!

Oh those little faces he makes are so funny.  He is such a happy boy.  The last few weeks he has not been and I am looking forward to having my little guy back!

I didn't get to post these after Christmas because our Christmas was just a bit different this year.  But here are some fun picture of Jonah with his little tikes car he got for Christmas.  Oh happy Day!

 Yep one happy boy!
