I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Family Pictures

We had family picture done again by Casey Rose Photography and she did an amazing job.  I'm so happy I have found someone I love and trust.  She knows what I want, helps bring my ideas to life, and does a great job with everything.  I am very picky with pictures and it's just that I know exactly what I want. So I have been thinking about the clothes, weather, place for pictures, etc... and this was all what I wanted. We wanted to get pictures to celebrate Jonah's second birthday!!!  And I couldn't be happier with how well Jonah did.  He was in a mood and it was a good one:)

It was fun to be able to get some pictures of just the two of us!

I just love how the wagon pictures turned out.  Jonah was popping up and down, was in and out, and was on the go, but Casey somehow captured it all!

Yours, Mine, And Ours

Here is another batch of random pictures.  Tim's pictures and my pictures from our phones.  I am hoping that my phone does not become my main way of photography, but I am seeing that it is more and more handy than lugging my nice camera around.  For the big trips and big moments I will always have my nice camera to capture those precious moments, but we still will have fun with our phones!

One of Jonah's favorite things to do is shop at Traders Joe's.  He recently discovered that there are little carts for the little ones to push.  And he is all about that.  This kid has loved pushing things since the day he learned how to walk.  If I don't have too many groceries then we will go out just the two of us. But if I have a large list then Daddy gets to come along and while one shops the other watches Jonah as he cruises all over Trader Joe's making sure no ones heel has gotten run over and making sure the cantaloupe stand has not been rammed into:)

One of the amazing professional picture by Casey Rose Photography!  I have more to come here is just a sneak peak!
 My two loves!!

We took a family trip a couple of weekends ago to Blowing Rock.  Blowing Rock is one of our favorite places to visit.  It has the cutest downtown with little shops, a great candy and ice cream store, a park for kids, and Tweetsie Railroad.  We have been wanting to take Jonah because he is in love with trains these days.  And it was a hit.  He loved every minute of it!!

These pictures got out of order.  But here is a night out eating at Sal's Italian restaurant.  If anyone is needing a new place to eat, this place was great. You know my husband is Italian and he said it was the real deal!!!

Oh and this is where we are moving!!  MONTANA!

Tim was able to do his first bike race since we moved to North Carolina.   This was part of our Blowing Rock Trip.  I am so happy he was finally able to get one in.  He did awesome and came in 8th place!!  Great job to the hubs.  Now he is all pumped and ready to do like a 100 more races which he probably will because this guy is in amazing shape and a pretty darn good biker!!

The Summer Collection

Well after looking through my pictures I believe I am finally caught up!  I'm going to drop some iphone pictures because sometimes those are the only pictures you can capture!  I am proud to say that I am now the owner of an iphone.  Yep 30 years old and I finally got one, and it has changed my life.  I don't know what I did without it.  I'm addicted and hoping the newness wears off and I might not be so addicted later on, we will see.  But between Tim and I both taking pictures with our phones we have a bunch of pictures to share!!

Sorry this is  sideways I don't know how to fix that on here.  But when we were in Missoula and Tim was interviewing, we at our hotel restaurant and they were serving "Ekalaka Eggplant."  I was so excited because that is my hometown, on a menu,  and I had to get a picture!!!!

 Cracker Barrel for breakfast!  YUM
The hill with the M.  I can't remember what they call it now but that hill is directly about the University.  Missoula is such a beautiful town and we really enjoyed touring the area.

Yogurt in the car because Jonah does not do so well eating in road trips.  He liked the yogurt in his carseat though!

We ate at the Big Dipper Ice Cream shop. This place was great.  Everyone we had meet kept telling us about the Big Dipper and we had to try their ice cream before we left.  It is fun because you order outside and can only sit outside.  The line was about 15 people long when we were there.  People say that is sometimes wraps around the block on hot summer days!

Jonah's big boy bed at the cabin.  This little bed is just the cutest.  Jonah in bed lasted about 2 min.  But next year hopefully he will be sleeping there!!

And another amazing place for ice cream is the Dew Drop Inn.  This little ice cream shop is on the way to the cabin.  It has the best ice cream and in the summer you always have to order the Huckleberry, it is the best!!

 Yep someone is happy:)

The plane ride home.  Jonah did pretty well considering all the traveling we had done for four weeks and sleeping in a different place like 14 times!!
Labor Day weekend we went to John and Sonneri's house in Charlotte.  They have a pool with a great kids area.  Jonah loved the water spouts and had a blast!

And the Durham Bulls baseball game.  This was such a fun family night.  We are taking in call we can before we leave the great state of North Carolina!!  Go Tar Heels!!!

Charlotte Trip

We were able to go down to Charlotte over Labor Day weekend and spend it with Tim's cousins John and Sonneri.  It was a great weekend and we are so glad we got to finally go.  We watched some football, swam, had an amazing smoked pork butt compliments of John Fahy, visited, ate more yummy food, and went to a fun kids' museum.  The guys were able to relax from their busy jobs and Sonneri and I just talked and talked.  Thanks guys for a wonderful weekend!!

Jonah having a blast at the water feature!  He could have stayed here all day.  That little guy loves water!!

Watch out Aunt Sonneri he might get you!  Having fun on the drums.

Petting the sting ray.  And then he got kind of scared. Thankfully Dad was close by!

 Looking at the jellyfish!

And thats the whole gang, minus the picture taker!!
