I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Matthews

I had to take a picture of this great picture.  When you walked up the stairs to club where the rehearsal dinner was held there were two pictures as you entered.  I thought this was a cute engagement picture.

Daniel sang Meghan a song at rehearsal dinner.  It was so sweet.

This was right out side the chapel which was located in downtown Charleston.  I was hoping to get more pictures, but the wedding was in November it was so cold outside.  We are hoping to take a trip down there this summer and tour some plantations and maybe get some more pictures!

I wanted to get a picture of her dress bustled.  It was so pretty!

Just the three of us.

Congrats Daniel and Meghan Matthews!!!

Fun with the Mosley Family

Fun day with the Mosley's was for sure a fun day!! This was the day we attempted to get Christmas family photos, with a lot of laughing and fun doing it we got some good ones, here are a few shots.

We went to this old mill in Cary, NC.  The background shot is the water wheel.  There were tours going on and I think that people on the tour were pretty entertained by our bunch!

Heading out and headed to the North Carolina State Fair.  Cotton Candy here we come!! YAY

Kurt, Caleb, and Joshua braved the water ride.

San Diego Part III

I had to get a picture with one of the Marines!

Tim enjoying test flying the planes!

Just a cool jet

The famous "kissing" statue

Posing with a kiss

Tim, Amy, Emily, and Will.  You can see that it's really rainy.  The few rain that San Diego gets was the one week we were there.  Oh well, we were able to do a lot of touristy things and this was good day for the U.S.S Midway to keep dry.

We were able to go to Balboa park and then to the Air and Space Museum.  It was pretty amazing and we had to get a picture the the "Blue Angels" plane.

A romantic dinner on Coronado Island at a great Italian restaurant.  I can't remember the name, but it was delicious!

Beautiful San Diego
Ok So as you can see all my posts have been updated, some pictures re-posted. I have been getting use to the whole blogging business and am learning something new everyday.  I am trying to clean things up because I was putting some pictures on the main page that I originally wanted in a post. So now I am reorganizing, bear with me!  Here is the rest of San Diego and now we are moving onto something else!

Tim and I with the elephants.  One of my favorite zoo animals.  The San Diego Zoo was pretty amazing.

Here is Will staring the bird down.  Pretty serious business!
Isn't he cute.  We had so much fun watching them dig their holes and throw dirt.  It was very entertaining!

And we of course had to see the Panda Bears!

Tim and I with our good friends Will and Emily.  We had a great time together.  We are planning another trip together the first weekend in December.  Looking forward to another getaway!
Loving the Polar Bear!  We took so many pictures and had tons of fun.

And who doesn't say yes to free Cotton Candy!!!
Here we are at Petco Park.
Hanging out in the dugout.  And Kandra talking on the phone!

Ok so can't sleep so I decided to start posting some pictures from our trip to San Diego.  I had mentioned before Tim got the wonderful opportunity to present a poster for the UNC Department of Anesthesia, and I didn't want to miss out on a week of vacation with my hubby, so I tagged along.   It was a great time away and we were able to see a lot in 5 days.  The first set of pictures are all taken at Petco Park where the San Diego Padres play and there will be more to come later!! I think it's finally time for bed!

The Biltmore and SkyTop Orchard.

The Biltmore Estate

A shot of the amazing architecture

A cute little statue

The Biltmore Garden.  I love orchards so I had to get a shot.

And a beautiful rose in the rose garden

A great view

After we were done at the Biltmore we went to a nice dinner that night and then woke up early to head out to Sky Top Orchard and pick some apples.  This was the view!

Don't they look delicious?  Well they were!

The pretty white bloom

The kind of apples we ate while picking.
