I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

The Magnificent Grove Park Inn

Our second half of Tim's vacation was having his parents come out and visit!  Thanks for coming Mimi and Papa! They arrived on Tuesday and we got things ready and packed up to head to Asheville Wednesday morning.  Tim's parents had never been to the Biltmore before so we were excited to take them there.  And we were extra spoiled and got to stay at the Grove Park Inn.  It was beautiful and so fun to stay there.  We ate amazing food all weekend, had fun laughs, lounged in our pajamas, and our little Jonah got all the attention in the world!  Here is the weekend recap!

The view from our room!  Not too shabby huh?!

This one is a little blurry, but I had to enlarge it so you could see these two crazies faces!  Jonah was in love with his Papa.  Lots of playtime together with these two!

Tim was the photographer for this picture!  But it turned out great of Mimi and Papa!

Hello CUTENESS!!

My Family of FOUR!!  Little one you are still a part of us even though you are not here yet!
 Love you bears!!

My sweet love and I!

And that was our wonderful trip.  I have a few more picture from the apple orchard that I will post soon.  Love you Papa and Mimi!

Charleston Walk

I finally sat down and went through some pictures, organized albums, and tired to get organized.  We had an awesome week as Tim was on vacation!  After a VERY long month of PICU he deserved three weeks off.  Once again he is hard working, supportive, and a loving father and husband.  I can't express how much I appreciate his hard work.  Residency is fun, exciting, and challenging and no one will know how hard one works unless you have gone through it!  So thanks babe you are the best. So here are a few pictures from our wonderful family vacation.  We went to Charleston for the first half of our trip and then Asheville for the second half.  Here are pictures from Charleston trip and the Asheville ones to come soon!

The pier at Folley Beach.  I think it is the longest in the United States.  Don't quote me on that, but I am pretty sure I was told that!

  Cutest baby on the beach!!!

We finally got to do what I have been wanting to do for my whole life... tour plantations!  It was the best trip we have taken to Charleston.  We stayed with our friends Will and Emily who were amazing hosts. They moved their this summer so they treated us as tourists and took us to all the great spots.

This is why I LOVE the south.  Beautiful!!!

We got to visit with Bryan and Kristin and meet Owen for the first time.  Second cousins, so sweet!

Jonah giving Owen a kiss, it was precious.

Will and Emily took us to all the great places to eat.  We went to the Coast for dinner one night and it was amazing!!  This is Tim's very large flounder.  It was really good.

I don't know if you can see Tim's face here but he is scrunching up his nose.  He didn't want to kiss in front of the fountain and I pulled him into me and made him.   It was good for him!

My driveway, staircase, and home someday!:)

I had a million pictures from the weekend but here are a few.  Asheville coming soon...

Jonah's First Birthday!

Well I can't believe my baby is one.  This year has flown by and has been so much fun.  I have loved staying home with Jonah and have enjoyed his sweet nature and fun personality!  He is such a joy and I am so happy we were able to celebrate with friends and family for his first birthday!!  Here are a few pictures from the party!!

The awesome cake that my friend Larissa made.  We obviously went with a turtle theme!!

I printed pictures from Jonah's birth to one year and made a little collage.

The candy bar which the kids loved!!!  I saw some adults sneaking candy too!

Jonah was unsure at first but then started to get into it and was having fun with everyone talking to him!

 Digging in

 Some of the crowd.

My friend Megan is going to have her first baby in January.  We are so excited for them!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Jonah Gabriel.  The Lord has blessed us and we love you so much.  We can't wait for what the next year brings.  You bring such joy to our lives and your daddy and I love you very much.  Thank you for teaching me grace, love, patience, and for bringing such happiness to my life.  I pray that God will give me the wisdom to raise you to love him, and most importantly to know him as your personal savoir, and that your happy spirit and sweet nature will bless everyone around you as you have your Dad and I.  We love you Jonah!!
