I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Colorado Mountain Wedding

I'm back!!!  After a very long, but wonderful 6 week break it's time to get back to blogging.  We have had a wonderful summer and have so many pictures to show of our many adventures.  We headed to Colorado July 14th, Tim was in a wedding, and then continued onto Montana for lots of wonderful family time.  The wedding was great and it was so good to see old friends.  Tim was a groomsman in his friend John's wedding.  They grew up together, went to undergrad together, and then ended up in Denver together both in Medical School.   I came into the picture in Denver and was so happy to have been able to spend some time with John and really got to know him well.  So it was fun to see him, all his family, and the other wedding party members who are all dear friends of ours.

After waking up at 5am, flying for 3.5 hours, waiting in line to rent a car for 1.5 hours, and then driving 2 hours into the mountains, we were all pretty exhausted by the time rehearsal rolled around.  But due to traffic and getting our car late, we missed it!!  We were so bummed to have missed that special part, but everyone was very understanding and were totally fine with it.  Tim got all his directions from Jeff, one of the other groomsmen, and we were good to go.  I unfortunately did not make it to the wedding because of an all nighter with Jonah, he took a much needed 3 hour nap, but we were able to make it to all of the reception.  Their wedding was at Snow Mountain Ranch near Granby CO, and the wedding was right in the Rocky Mountains, gorgeous views and a perfect backdrop for a beautiful wedding. Their goal was for the reception to be family friendly, they had an amazing caterer, pie for the "cake cutting", and lawn games for everyone to enjoy.  It was such  relaxed reception and so kid friendly.  We had a great time celebrating John and Rebecca and were so happy we could be a part of their special day.  Enjoy the pictures!

Here some of the wedding party are playing Kan-Jam.  It is a game where you try and throw a frisbee in that black can in the picture.  My honey was pretty good at this game and here he is in in full action!

My boys.  Love them to pieces!
Jenty and I.  It was so good to see her and catch up.
Here is the father of the groom and his grandson.  I had to get a picture of the cute couple in their stylish hats!
Here Jonah found the punch bowl.  I'e pretty sure he had about 20 glasses, but I was only filling them less then a 1/4 full so it probably only totaled a full cup.  He was sure enjoying himself.

Here is a view looking from the tent.  This was everyone's view for the wedding (so I was told:) It was very stormy out so this is how the pictures turned out due to the weather.  I like the colors and how it shows a beautiful storm rolling in.

An old house right next to the reception area.

And I loved her taste in the simple baskets and flowers.  All the flowers were wild flowers and were on each table, the punch table, and the guest book table.  It was so sweet and very pretty.

A wedding is not a wedding without a car!

This is the only picture I got of the married couple!  There was so much visiting going on I hated to interrupt and ask for a picture.  But glad I snapped one at the toasts.

Love this pictures of my little family!

These little cuties became buddies instantly.  Jonah was behaving like a two-year old a lot of our time and I think a lot of it had to do with adjusting to the time change, and a new environment, but today he got his three hour nap and the sweetness of my Jonah came out.  They shared cars, and romped and tromped all over together.

John and Rebecca had the most delicious pie for their dessert.  They had everything from rhubarb strawberry to blueberry to triple berry.  It was so good!

Playing with Dad and loving every minute of his attention.  We had such a great time and were so happy to have made it to the wholesome and Godly wedding of John and Rebecca Fowler!
