I'm a happy RN married to a hardworking resident. We have recently become Carolina fans and are adding the color "carolina" blue to our wardrobe and home. I love the east coast and couldn't be happier living in hot, sticky climate. I was raised on a farm/ranch with two wonderful parents and three fun loving older sisters. I went to a one room country school house down the dusty dirt road with grand total of three in my class. Life in the country was rich, meaningful, and simple, just the way I like it. So from country farmgirl to coastal bell, here I am, living life and loving it!

Trucks, Wheels, and Water!

What a wonderful weekend we had.  Tim was off Saturday and Sunday so we had lots of family time together.  Oh how I cherish those days when I have my husband home.  Saturday was a fun filled day.  We went to the mall parking lot and they had "Touch a Truck" going on.  It is where they brought an ambulance, city bus, sheriff car, police motorcycle, bomb squad truck, and more.  Jonah did pretty good.  There were a few kiddy things, like a bounce house, that he did not like, but liked everything else for the most part.  Jonah calls trucks or anything big with wheels a "boop boop."  It is so cute to hear him say that.  We are now teaching him to say "beep beep" and he is catching on!   After the truck show we came home to a relaxing afternoon and fun washing the car.  I think from now on when the weather gets hots I am going to get Jonah a bucket with water and he can go to town with it!!

I think the tractor was one of Jonah's favorites.  Not too big and scary and fun to play on.  He is sitting with his girlfriend Lillia who joined us for the day!

Such a little boy in the big seat!!  Happy behind the steering wheel!

Tim and Jonah in the Duke life flight ambulance.  It was huge.  The guy told us the rig is a moving ICU.  They transport the sickest of the sick wherever they need to go.

It started out as fun in water splashing around.  And then he discovered picking grass and adding that was fun.  And then he found dirt, pollen pods, bark, you name it. He was having a blast.

And then we soon discovered the water washing down the driveway.  And splashing in that was even more fun than splashing in the bucket!!

Daddy decided to spray a little water on Jonah.  He liked it and loved getting wet.  I think we are going to have a fun wet summer!

Sometime ago

Here are a few random snapshots of Jonah from a month or so ago.  I wanted to get the pictures up and never got around to doing it. The first few are some of him in this cute white sweater that a dear friend Mary Alice made herself.  She saw one for sale that was super expensive and decided she could do it, went home and made one by just looking at the one in the store!!

The few are of Jonah and his adorable little curls.  He gets his curly hair from his daddy.  We ened up cutting his hair a few weeks ago. I was so sad to see the curls go, but he was rocking a mullet that needed to go!

And last few are the underwear shots. For some reason Jonah enjoyed getting into my sock and underwear drawer.  He would pull out the undies and put them around his head (don't worry they were all clean).  I had to get some picture of my little man being silly with underwear.

Isn't the sweater just so sweet.  I love that it is handmade and from Mary Alice.  I love things like this!

 Love, love those curls!!

Flip Flops and Sandcastles Part III

We are finally to the rest of the pictures of our Florida trip.  Thank you Grampop, Grandma, Papa, and Mimi for such a fun trip.  We needed the nice little get a away and enjoyed our time with you all.  It was so enjoyable to sit around and watch Jonah play, laugh, and be loved on.  And it was such a treat to be able to go lay by pool and read by myself knowing he was in good hands.  We went to Busch Gardens one day and had so much fun.  There is a great Sesame Street Kid area that Jonah loved.  He actually liked the rides but did not like the characters!  He still might be a little young for them.  And he loved the choo choo train.  Can't wait to see you all again! love ya!

Loving the train ride and seeing all the animals on our safari!

Holding on tight to Mimi watching Elmo and friends dance!

Jonah also loved all the birds.  He was so intrigued and in the picture below was holding his arm out like Tim, to try and see if a bird would come to him!

Jonah figured that you stick your tongue out and lick, that is how a parrot eats and he still does it!

 Feeding the parrot!

Jonah liked the carousel ride.  But after that we tired to meet Big Bird and he was not impressed!

A little naked time and wrestling with Dad.  It was our last night there and we just enjoyed playing around and hanging out!
